this is the blogger’s second visit to daorae garden, and it is still the best korean restaurant (she says) compared to the few others she previously patronised.
Service is excellent, [the attentive boss served us... wooooot!], and they have mini range hood installed at EVERY table to suck the smoke from the BBQ grill.
Bravo! Clean indoor air!

Now, back to basics.. the food..
seaweed soup and and korean pizza (pancake with seafoods and vegetables) to start, both on the house.

the blogger and friend ordered daorae’s “special pork” [RM 35], which is served unmarinated. two thumbs up!
“…so good to eat you can even eat it on its own…” – just got to loan this from gardenia
if you prefer stronger taste, just dip the meat into the sesame oil provided.

next, daorae’s skinless chicken marinated in hot chilli sauce. [RM27]. unfortunately, this is not up to the blogger’s liking.

lastly, bi-bim-bap (korean mixed rice), the blogger’s favourite!
Served in a heated stone bowl and topped with vegetables, beef/chicken, egg, and gochujang (chile pepper paste). All these will be stirred together just before eating.

korean tea and two slices of watermelon post-meal.

another satisfied customer!
whereabout?

visit any of the two branches.
*slurp*

The flogger have heard of this place for many years now, and have always wanted to try their food. She finally did tonight.
Euro Deli is known to many for its variety of sausages, as well as its famous roasted pork knuckles.
This month, in conjunction with Merdeka, besides the ala carte menu, Euro Deli also offers an International Dinner Buffet selection at RM48++ per pax.
Patrons can opt for either one.
Now, let these photos do the talking.

buns for starters
Butcher’s Plate RM 26
Pork Chop RM 19.50
Mixed Roast RM 25
The food are a’ight, but weren’t as good as I hope they’d be, given all the previous thumbs-up reviews and referrals from friends.
If I had to rate the food, it’ll be a 5/10. Service and ambience-wise, I’d give this outlet a 6, maybe 7.
Pricing is reasonable.

this coffeeshop (name unknown) is directly opposite a magnum 4d shop & Kure (pain relief / therapy centre).

next to this shop is another coffeeshop, also a crowd magnet, and that ONE thing which got the blogger’s attention is its mua chee, a must-have for her everytime she’s in penang!

located at lebuh keng hwee on the Penang Road, this coffeeshop is a crowd-puller as the famous teowchew cendol stall is just right outside the shop.
the blogger’s family also tried its hokkien prawn mee and assam laksa, which is equally good.

the blogger is captivated with all things antique, including the interior of joo hooi cafe. another thing which doubles its ”old and gold feel” are the songs which were being broadcast – the classics of anita mui, sam hui, teddy robin… ah.. back to the 70s!

prices are unavailable as the blogger was distracted by the food and her grumbling stomach, and a weak brain at remembering things.

this is the blogger’s first visit, and her family’s second.
aurora court is a furnished leisure apartment, situated in pulau tikus.
we had the two-bedroom suite for our 2 nights stay at a rate of RM168 per night, and the suite comes with living, dining and a kitchen, but it’s without any facilities, besides a mini gym.
But for the rate we’re paying, I guess this is fair deal.
The blogger believes that there’s only around 20 suites available for rental - from a one- to three-bedroom suite, as well as a penthouse.
